How to Spot Termites
Damage to Wood
Termites often eat wood from the inside out, leaving it hollow or brittle. If you notice wood that sounds papery when tapped or crumbles easily, it may be a sign of termite activity. Look closely at baseboards, door frames, and crawl spaces for visible damage or small holes.
Sagging / Buckling Floors
When termites weaken a home’s subfloor or support beams, floors can start to sag or feel uneven. This structural damage can mimic moisture problems, but often points to hidden termite infestations. A professional inspection can confirm the cause and prevent further deterioration.
Swollen Floors or Ceilings
